My Worth Is Not Defined

My worth is not defined by the food that I eat. The calories I take in. The “good” vs “bad” food that I ingest.
My worth is not defined by the calories I expend. The movements I freely make.
My worth is not defined by how many steps I put in or the kms I ran.
My worth is not defined by the tag on my jeans or shirt.
My worth is not defined by the number on a scale.
My worth is not defined by the diets I have been on, the restricted foods I did.
My worth is not defined by the diets I’ve been on, and the failures of them.
My worth is not defined by the hour glass figure, the pear or the apple.
My worth is not defined by all the colour of my hair, the greys that creep in.
My worth is not defined by having a child and the failure of “bounce back”.
My worth is not defined in working myself to death, or “busy” of life.
My worth is none of these things….

My worth IS the laughter and smiles I decide on.
The love I freely give.
The boundaries I place, and respecting them even if others do not.
My worth is in the body I have of today, that moves me from point A to B.
My worth is in the hugs I give and recieve.
The lives I have changed and that have changed mine.
My worth is what I DECIDE to adds currency to my life, not the monetary kind, but the currency of life.
The roads traveled, feelings felt, and experiences had.
My worth is so much more than what society tells me it has to be.
I am a Rebel Girl…a Badass Babe…
I am a feminine spirit.
A roar from within.
I am the middle finger at society…
With no shame.
